Busy Sunday

Whew!  We've had us a day.  We started out by having "Promotion Sunday" at church for the kiddos.  Samara graduated from the nursery to her preschool class...<sniff, sniff, tear, tear>.  After 5 years of a "Dinkelberry" being in the nursery, it is no more.  She moved into the class Isaiah was in, Isaiah moved to the class Malachi was in, and Malachi moved to the Kindergarten class.  This has definitely been a week of milestones at our house!

The sermon was preached by a guy I went to high school with.  Actually, his dad was the pastor at my church in KC and now he's the pastor at our church here...I love that I have known them for over 15 years and are able to be connected to their family.  After church, there was a lunch in the son's honor so we stayed around for that. 

We were only home for a little less than an hour and then headed back up to church.  Our Sunday school class is moving rooms and the walls in the new room were an atrocious yellow color.  So we had a painting party!  The guys painted while most of the girls were in the nursery caring for all the kiddos.  Our kiddos should definitely be exhausted.  Between playing in the nursery, running in the gym, and going up and down the stairs, they should have expended all of their energy! We ended the evening by eating pizza and chit-chatting.  It was nice to hang out with the group while completing the project.

Ahh, and so the weekend has come to an end.  Another school week is upon us.  I pray that it will be as great as last week was...
